Best places to have dinner in Kilkenny

Kilkenny city is famous for its vast array of delicious restaurants! From traditional Irish food to Asian street food, you will not be stuck for choice. We are going to run through some of our personal favourites! We are going to include prices using a Tier system.

Tier 1: Under €15

Tier 2: Between €15 and €25

Tier 3: Over €25

 

Aroi

First up is Aroi. Aroi is a personal favourite of ours at Kilkenny Concierge. Aroi is an Asian Fusion casual dining restaurant. They serve delicious food from lunchtime onwards. If you are looking for a more casual and relaxed vibe, Aroi is the perfect spot. The food they serve is so fresh and flavoursome. Aroi offers a two-course meal (Tier 2)

 

Grapevine

Next up is the Grapevine, located in the heart of Kilkenny city. The Grapevine is a unique and vibrant restaurant and bar. They serve a diverse selection of international tapas, wines, and Irish craft beers. Tapas always go down well with big groups. This type of dining is perfect for hen parties. The food that the grapevine serve is delicious! The Grapevine offers three tapas and wine (Tier 2)

 

Zuni

Zuni is the perfect restaurant for those looking for something a bit fancier. They are an award-winning restaurant located in the middle of Kilkenny city. They cater for both lunch and dinner. You can enjoy their extensive lunch menu from 12 noon and their early bird and full a la carte evening service from 5.30pm. Zuni also have a bar, where they serve evening drinks. They offer a two-course meal (Tier 3)

 

Langton’s

For those who are more into Irish cuisine, Langton’s is a lovely spot for dinner. Their menu consists of Irish steaks, chicken goujons, battered cod, alongside many other dishes. Their desserts are to die for, you heard it from us first! Langton’s offer a two-course meal (Tier 2)

 

Matt the Millers

Matt the Millers located in the city centre is the perfect spot for some pub grub. This pub is a lively spot and is always buzzing at weekends. Ideal for a stag party. They offer steak and a pint (Tier 2)

 

Billy Byrnes

Looking for a more casual dining experience, look no further than Billy Byrnes. Billy Byrnes is a cool, relaxed and hipster pub. They also cater for vegetarians and vegans. They serve an evening menu of contemporary dishes from around the world, with an emphasis on freshness and flavours. Billy Byrnes only cater for corporate groups or sports clubs. They offer a pizza party (Tier 1)

 

An Poc Fada

An Poc Fada is another great pub grub option. They serve traditional Irish food. They offer a main course and pint (Tier 2). This pub is an extremely popular location for hens and stags. It’s lively and great craic!
